A Concert Celebrating Valentine’s Day

In celebration of Valentine’s Day, Sidekick Theatre presents LOVE WILL KEEP US TOGETHER, an array of classic romantic songs from the 60s and 70s featuring hits from Elvis Presley, The Righteous Brothers, Barry Manilow, The Bee Gees, Carole King, The Carpenters, Billy Joel and more. LOVE WILL KEEP US TOGETHER showcases your favorite Sidekick Theatre musicians with some of the Twin Cities best vocalists performing such songs as ’My Girl’, 'Can't Help Falling in Love’, 'Ain't No, Sunshine’, ’Can't Take My Eyes off You’ and of course ‘Love Will Keep Us Together’. Enjoy an atmosphere of fun and romance at Sidekick Theatre this Valentine’s Day!
About the Performance A Rue/Sabien performance is an ad lib, rapid-fire affair, riddled with a melodic cascade of personal favorites peppered with musical ideas (occasionally interrupted by an errant thought: they sometimes feel the need to explain the process), duologues on inspiration (and what does not inspire), oblique social commentary, and comic highs and lows (when good things happen to bad people), all thoroughly plumbed from the musical depths of piano, guitar, violin, mando and voices that soar, growl and bubble within a sardonic Robin Williams/Noel Coward sense of humor. Influenced by nearly anything and everything musical. Buckle up!~Charles Bunbury

BRASS LASSIE, a bold trad band based in the Twin Cities of St. Paul/Minneapolis, combines traditional tunes, songs and style with dazzling modern horn lines, sparking their own genre of eclectic, remarkable music. The ensemble performs extraordinary takes on Scottish, Irish and French music, traditional and new, featuring a powerful 4-piece horn section, a terrific rhythm section, fiddle, flutes, pipes and vocals, plus occasional percussive dance. Their smart, joyous horn arrangements are by top-notch jazz arranger Peter Enblom, plus a couple of great ensemble arrangements from Dr. David Milne.
