THE KENSINGTON RUNESTONE is a controversial artifact whose authenticity has been debated for over a century. Advocates claim it is proof that Scandinavians reached Minnesota in 1362. Opponents claim it is a hoax, carved by a Swedish farmer. It can currently be seen in Alexandria, Minnesota within the RuneStone Museum.
