Once a talented musician, Shelby's whole world changed after an accident took her hearing. But, when a national music competition is announced, she is determined to participate. Working alongside her classmates, Shelby finds that she can still create music in her own way.

Blending spoken and American Sign Language, this vibrant ensemble piece invites audiences to experience sound and music in a whole new way. As Deaf and hearing performers share the stage, The Finger Dance explores how we listen to one another across differences, through silence, and with our whole selves. The result is a visually stunning theatrical experience that speaks to audiences of all ages, whether they hear with their ears, their eyes, or their hearts.
